In remembrance of Memorial Day 2021 in New York City, AmeriVet Co-CEO Mercedes Elias attended the NYC Department of Veterans’ Services’ Memorial Day Ceremony at Woodlawn Cemetery on behalf of the NYC Veterans Advisory Board.  Mercedes was appointed to the Veterans Advisory Board in 2020 and was joined in the ceremony by Rear Admiral Charles Rock, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlanic, Department of Veterans’ Services Commissioner James Hendon, Todd D’Uso Chief Operating Officer of the Bob Woodruff Foundation, Council Member and Veterans Committee Chair Eric Dinowitz, State Senator Jamaal Bailey, Council Member Kevin Riley, and Congressman Jamaal Bowman.
