Our Veterans Engagement Associate, Sidney Covington, has been a mentor to a Chicago Public Student for two years now through the iMentor organization. iMentor pairs students with limited resources with mentors to increase their chances of success after their high school career.

To conclude Women’s History Month, iMentor hosted a panel to discuss the importance of mentorship for young ladies of color. The panel discussed the success and challenges the pairs have experienced in their mentorship relationship. The mentees shared the value of having a mentor has provided them as they navigate their post-high school options.
