Robert Jones, Board of Directors

On March 14th, 1973 Bob Jones, who currently sits on the Board of Directors at AmeriVet Securities, returned home to the United States after 62 months of captivity at the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ in Vietnam. Bob Jones served in the United States Air Force as an F4D fighter pilot during the Vietnam War. During a mission on January 18th, 1968, he took enemy fire and his plane was heavily damaged, forcing him to eject over North Vietnam where he became a Prisoner of War (POW). American POWs were held inside Hanoi’s Hoa Lo Prison, nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ during the Vietnam War, where they were tortured, interrogated and endured miserable conditions. His resilience, perseverance in the face of adversity and commitment to duty serve as a source of inspiration for the staff at AmeriVet Securities. On this day, we recognize his service and thank him for his continued guidance.
