John Delaney

John Delaney is a Managing Director, Fixed Income Sales at AmeriVet Securities. Previously, Mr. Delaney spent eight years at Academy Securities and more than three years at Stern Brothers, where he helped build out their nascent fixed income sales and trading businesses.

Mr. Delaney also previously served as a Senior Vice President at BNY Convergex and Lynch, Jones & Ryan with responsibility for state/local government and corporate defined benefit pension plans as well as foundations and endowments. Mr. Delaney began his career in the financial markets at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he eventually ran regional dealer desk sales and trading as a Managing Director in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Prior to his career in the financial markets, he was a commissioned officer and attack helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, flying UH-1 (Huey), OH-58 (Kiowa), AH-1 (Cobra) and AH-64 (Apache) helicopters. Mr. Delaney is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and has a master of science degree in business management from Texas A&M University – Central Texas. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 8, 24, 55 and 63 licenses.
