Brigadier General Michael Brogan (Ret.) joined the AmeriVet Securities Advisory Board in 2020. He retired from the U.S. Marines in 2011 after honorably serving for 31 years.

Throughout the duration of his military career, he provided oversight for the U.S. Secretary of Defense’s acquisition program and was responsible for procuring, testing, evaluating and delivering essential equipment to the U.S. Armed Forces and partners in Iraq and Afghanistan.

His decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star, Navy Commendation Medal with Gold Star, Navy Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon. In addition, he was awarded the Legion of Honor officer rank by the President of France.

A native of Orrville, Ohio, General Brogan attended the University of Notre Dame. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1980. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in business from Webster University and a master’s degree in national resource strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
