The Mission Continues is a non-profit organization that empowers veterans to continue their service and participate in community projects with under-resourced communities. In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the New York service platoons organized a service project to help build a positive learning environment for the scholars at Mosaic Preparatory Academy in East Harlem. Activities around the school included painting the staircases, soundproofing the music rooms, painting a mural, touching up repairs to the auditorium, and building and painting tables. Staff from AmeriVet Securities participated in this project, volunteering their time and efforts to continue to connect with the local community.
