As part of our Vets on Deck summer series, the Travis Manion Foundation hosted their Operation Legacy with Story Pirates at our offices. During this event, volunteers wrote personalized notes to students after reading their pre-written stories. This ‘Story Love’ celebrates the words and ideas of young people to create confident, literate students equipped with a variety of tools for written, verbal and artistic self-expression. The Travis Manion Foundation is a non-profit organization who empowers veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations. The Story Pirates pairs world-class teachers with first rate actors and comedians who offer a variety of tools to make learning more engaging and fun.
