Vietnam Prisoner of War and AVI President Welcomes Veterans at Event

We recently welcomed Bob Jones – Vietnam Prisoner of War, U.S. Air Force veteran and President of our firm – at our quarterly finance networking event.

In 1968, his plane was shot down, forcing him to eject over enemy territory where he was held as a Prisoner of War (POW) for 62 months. Mr. Jones was released during Operation Homecoming on March 14, 1973, after 1,882 days in captivity.

During the event, which brings together veterans who are interested in financial services and enables them to meet established professionals within the industry, Mr. Jones spoke with attendees about his time during the war and his post-war experiences with the military and as a commercial airline pilot.
