AmeriVet Receives Opps4Vets Award

Although the Opps4Vets 9th Annual Veteran and Small Business Summit was postponed this year due to coronavirus, AmeriVet Securities, Inc., was honored by receiving the Opps4Vets prestigious “Skin in the Game Award for 2020.

With this award, AmeriVet becomes the first Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) FINRA member to earn this award.

The “Skin in the Game” award recognizes SDOVSBs that give top priority to helping veterans and supporting their causes.

“Our ‘Skin in the Game’ Award is among the 20-plus awards our company has received since its inception in 1994 and it is one of the awards we are most proud of,” said Elton Johnson, Jr., AmeriVet’s CEO.

Opps4Vets is owned and operated by Albert R. Renteria, a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Renteria created Opps4Vets after seeing a need for a true veteran organization dedicated to providing real results for those who have served.

The organization provides resources, matchmaking, training and marketing tools to veterans, with the goal of increasing their chances for success in the civilian workspace.
