In commemoration of Memorial Day, AmeriVet Strategic Communication & Engagement Associate James Fitzgerald and Managing Director-Debt Capital Markets Kevin Galligan joined over 80 veterans and military family members for a 14-mile ruck march from Brooklyn to Manhattan hosted by Personal Protective Concepts and Veterans for Political Innovation.

Hear from James Fitzgerald in our recent Memorial Day message as he explains why he joined this event:

“To honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, I’m participating in a 14-mile Memorial Day Ruck march that travels from Brooklyn to Manhattan, visiting the monuments erected to honor those we’ve lost in battle. A ruck march is a fitness practice used in the military for training and to build camaraderie between service members.

I am joined by my AmeriVet Securities colleagues for this ruck march, and we dedicate our march to someone that we knew or served with that was lost during their service. This ruck march is the way I can keep the names of those no longer with us alive in my mind and heart.”
