Continuing to Serve: Reflecting on the History and Legacy of African American Service Members

On February 10, 2022, the Pritzker Military Museum and Library hosted a discussion on Continuing to Serve: Reflecting on the History and Legacy of African American Service Members. The panel discussed the historical impact and importance of service for Black veterans who return home and continue to serve their communities post-military. AmeriVet Securities was honored to sponsor the event and have our Veterans Engagement Associate, Sidney Covington, in attendance. Following the event, attendees and panelists went to dinner to network and find ways to continue to make impactful changes within our designated communities.

The Pritzker Military Museum and Library strives to increase the nation’s knowledge of the sacrifice, service, and values servicemembers gain through service. In addition, the museum is diligently working to increase the awareness of diverse servicemembers and veterans through storytelling and featuring diverse collections.
