AmeriVet staff participated in the Earth Day service project with The Mission Continues and staff from Goldman Sachs Community Teamworks to complete much needed work for Mosaic Preparatory Academy in East Harlem. Over 60 volunteers painted classrooms, put up privacy fencing, demolished tables and benches, built garden beds, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and deck benches.  The school will be using their new garden beds and outdoor furniture to teach their scholars about sustainable urban agriculture and use their patio to host family events.  The Mission Continues is a non-profit organization that empowers veterans to continue their service and participate in community project with under-resourced communities.  You can learn more about their mission and upcoming events at https://missioncontinues.org/.
