Honoring the Hurt and Their Hereos

The University of Chicago – Office of Military- Affiliated Communities hosted a three-day event honoring the hurt war has caused service members and the families that support them when they return home from war. On Day 1, Colonel Gadson and Colonel Ken Wilson discussed the mental and physical impacts of returning home from war. Day two was the screening of the Weight of Honor, which highlighted the effects of war on families when service members return home. Day three partner organizations shared their resources to help veterans and their families as they navigate life post-war.
