Aleck Gao

Aleck Gao is a military veteran, who served in the U.S. Air Force for nine years.

Mr. Gao most recently served as an orthopedic technician at the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he assisted in the military’s coronavirus response, performing more than 2,000 swab tests for presurgical screening and supported the vaccination process of more than 1,000 students, airmen and civilians.

In addition, Mr. Gao served in Florida and Texas, and deployed to Puerto Rico in 2017, where he provided disaster recovery support in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

Mr. Gao was one of nine veterans selected from an applicant pool of nearly 300 to receive a full-tuition scholarship to Wesleyan University, as a Posse Foundation Scholar. He is studying economics and graduates in 2025.
