Last week, AmeriVet Securities hosted over 30 veteran scholars from The Posse Foundation’s Veterans Program at our New York City office. The Posse Veterans Program identifies, trains, and supports veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces interested in pursuing bachelor’s degrees at top colleges and universities. Prior to matriculation, the Posse veteran scholars participate in a one-month, pre-collegiate training program in New York City, focused on leadership development, academic excellence, cross-cultural communication and team building.

At the event, our talented staff of military veterans and Wall Street professionals provided targeted coaching to help sharpen each scholar’s professional skills as they begin their academic pursuits. Our Veteran Engagement Associate, Sidney Covington, has spearheaded our partnership with The Posse Veterans Program for the last three years and continues to create new opportunities for each cohort of veteran scholars.
