Vets Indexes’ goal is to educate, equip, and prepare corporations to welcome veterans to their company. Vet Indexes host semiannual conferences to discuss companies’ challenges and successes in welcoming veterans into their companies. During this Spring conference, our Veterans Engagement Associate, Sidney Covington, hosted a panel that discussed women veteran unemployment and underemployment.

Women veterans’ unemployment is currently higher than male unemployment. According to a study released by the VA, women veterans are twice as likely to become homeless compared to their civilian counterparts. To help reduce women veterans homeless, we need to address employment opportunities available to women veterans.
