New York-Presbyterian “Your Brain on the Military – Women in Service” Panel
February 1, 2019
New York-Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center hosted a panel of female veterans to discuss their transition from active duty, female support at local Veterans Affairs hospitals, and various mental health issues unique to female service members. The panel was held as an initiative to help understand mental health issues unique to female veterans. As part of research in conjunction with Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center is conducting studies on military survivors of sexual assault, post traumatic stress disorder, and a program for treating anxiety and traumatic stress. To learn more about the services offered free of charge to veterans, you can visit the website for the Military Family Wellness Center at www.nyp.org/mfwc.
